Thank you so much for the kind words! In my early years, I delved more into Middle Eastern esoterism (specifically Sufism) due to my upbringing in a Muslim family, and eventually branched out to psychology. I only had a superficial idea of Jung's psychoanalytical theories, but a lovely friend of mine wrote her Master thesis on the connection between occult symbolism and Jungian dream analysis, so that was my first deep-dive in the Jungian world.
The more I read, the more I discovered that Jung's theories overlapped a lot with what I had learned on my own spiritual journey. I relate to him a lot on his laments on Christianity, as I see it reflected within my own religious community. The mystical and metaphysical aspects of Islam are considered heretic where I'm from, so I found a lot of solace in reading Jung.
I'm mostly self-learning all of these. I'm looking to explore Marie-Louise von Franz's work as well, though I haven't had the chance yet to dive into it! I wasn't aware that Emma Jung had also written a book on the anima and animus. I will definitely look into this! Thanks for letting me know!
What about yourself? I especially love how you draw the connections between all these different fields and quickly, I found myself enamoured with the knowledge you share. When did you start writing on these topics and did you self-learn them as well?
