My father is the most optimistic man that I know. Yet, despite his happy disposition, he has never taught me to only look at the bright side of things. One of his first lessons to me as a child (I was younger than 10) was that there will always be dark clouds. But he will remind me it is just a dark cloud, and it will pass.
